Hey stranger

I can't believe I've gone all week without a peep!!
I had my shower last weekend and have lots of pictures to share, and I have worked on some Thank You notes that I also took pictures of. My problem is that I've been busy at work this week, and busy at night too. So trying to get the pictures off my camera has been hard, and I didn't want to post without them....

I also had my makeup trial last night. It went pretty well, but I don't really like how she did my eyes. I wanted dramatic and smokey, but they ended up being too dark, I think. It's okay, though, I can play around with it. I also have some false eyelashes to play around with... which could end up being pretty funny. ;-) I like playing around with makeup, so I'm not too worried about my wedding day. I just thought I could try some new products, maybe see some new colors. I do want to look like myself, but the special-glowy-most-beautiful version of myself.

Other than that, I've decided on the ivory paper with gold script writing on it for the programs and escort cards. I do like the more bold paper, as well as a solid metallic copper (which is very terracotta colored).... but I don't need to stress over this, and I think the one with the script writing is my favorite. Plus, it'll be easy to go and get if I need more. It's pretty, vintage-y, and will look great with an orange ribbon! I've also decided on the ribbon for the bouquets and cake. It's a double-faced satin that is champagne colored on one side and gold on the other. Not sure if it'll be too "floppy" for the cake.... but the cake lady said whatever type of ribbon will work. I may buy a back-up for her to use if that one doesn't work.

Things are starting to fall into place. We've been getting back lots of RSVPs, which is great! Maybe the key is to only allow them three and a half weeks to think about it?? The invitations-snafu may have worked out for the best....

But you know what?? In one month, I'll be a Mrs.! And none of this will matter anymore. :-)

I love your attitude, girl. I feel the same, it's just the people around me not realising it stressing me out!
