My new glass canisters from the Crate and Barrel outlet.
After I bought the ornaments, I used part of the gift card that was left to buy these. My old ones from Ikea were ready to retire, and I have had my eye out for some that were a bit larger and a little nicer.

Now my question is: Do I leave the tops as they are (silver), or should I paint them?
Black?
Or maybe a color? I like the red, but I'd probably choose dark green.
What do you think?

hmmmm, are you trying to match anything in particular in your kitchen? Personally I think they look great with the silver metal but I also like the different colors so it's a tough choice!

I'd leave them silver unless you were trying to match them with the rest of your decor. I like the silver.
I guess I'm the only one who think they'd look goo with some color. But then I am a strange one so probably best to ignore me.
I've been looking for good glass canisters. I don't yet have counter tops large enough to accommodate them -- hopefully someday soon! (I like the simplicity of the silver.)
i like as is, but i am sure all of those colors would rock too.
