And a big BOO!!! to Fed Ex.
I'm sorry I've been gone for a few days... I really didn't have much to update on Friday, the weekend was busy, I was sick on Monday, and played catch-up at work yesterday. But yes, officially, the invitations are lost. Gone without a trace, which I pretty much knew on Friday. Very saddening, but strangely enough by that time I was more "let's just move on and figure out what we need to do" than "WAHHHHH". So that's good, I guess! ;-)
But I have to give a big cheer to E. over at Elizabeth Anne Designs !! By Friday, we decided that the invitations would probably never be seen again, so I ran out to Michael's over my lunch break and bought new blank invitation cards and envelopes. I then overnighted them to E. so she could get to work re-doing them. Luckily for me, not only was she willing to re-do them, she still had one of the gocco screens, and enough materials to re-do them! I re-ordered more screens and bulbs, and had them ship directly to her to replenish what she was using to re-gocco my invites. She was able to finish them up Monday, ship them to me Tuesday (via UPS!), and I should receive them tomorrow!! Hooray!! We are a few days behind when I would have ideally liked to have sent them out, but we are not too late. I am just relieved that we will not have to be sending out handwritten invitations on copy paper for our invites!! Of course, I will be even more relieved when they get here tomorrow!
You know, this just reinforces the old addage of "Don't wait until the last minute". No matter what it is in life, doesn't it always seem like when you really need or want something, and you need it really soon... something happens??

That is so awesome that they are so willing to work with you... it sucks you lost them, but i'm glad you were able to find a way to salvage them :) Good luck!
Glad that it's pretty much worked out. It sucks big time when packages get lost.
But soon you'll have your invitations in your hands and it'll all be good.
Ah, bless EA indeed! I haven't heard of that level of service in ages... Yay, let us know when you get them! x
Congrats on getting that whole fiasco worked out! It's nice to see that Elizabeth was so willing to help you out with new ones. Boo to Fed Ex for making your stressed!
Phew, I've been waiting on you to come post what happened with the invitations! Well that's good that it got sorted out, even though that is totally annoying that they lost them!!!
I bet they turn up at some point... grrrr.
Glad you got it sorted in the end anyway.
